The objective of the project is to design and develop a smart device based system to accurately determine the relative peer positioning system for indoor environment by fusing data from the various sensors found on the smart device (Wifi, Acoustic, magnetic and IMU), and through binary area cut methods. As individual positioning mechanisms suffer from their unique sources of errors, the project will investigate the multimodal cooperative relative localization, utilizing various complementary sensor data and information available via other sources so as to design a reliable relative localization system.
