Seminar Description
System safety is an important discipline that is increasingly being embraced by regulators and organizations globally. In this half-day workshop, we shall discuss relevant basic principles and practices for addressing system safety. Real life examples from the industry will be used for hazard analysis discussions. Participations from the audience on issues faced in practice are most welcome.
Learning Objectives
This course is meant for general appreciation of system safety so that one would be able to identify the key process elements for addressing system safety and apply basic hazard analysis.

ONN Eng Ling is the Head of System Safety Group at Engineering Division of Advanced Material Engineering and also the Director of System Safety at ST Kinetics DBG. Her work includes overseeing company system safety activities, leading & coaching a team of system safety engineers, leading the implementation of system safety activities in programmes and managing system safety competencies.
She is the Founding President of International System Safety Society (Singapore Chapter) and continues to play an active role in the Chapter. She received International Award from the International System Safety Society in 2003 in recognition of her contribution in the International Advancement of System Safety. Eng Ling is currently the Regional Vice President (Asia Pacific) of the International System Safety Society.
